Ferofort

Pharmacological properties: iron-dextran complex slow emits ionic iron which incorporate into biochemical processes (oxygen transport, the electron transport chain, etc). Stimulation of tissue metabolic processes provide to increasing of organism grow, resistance etc.

Vitamins B₆ and B₁₂ are cofactors of many enzymes of aerobic carbohydrate oxidation (the citric acid cycle, the electron transport chain), synthetic processes (fatty acid, polysaccharides, some amino acids synthesis), functional status support of central nervous system, hemopoesis, etc.

Administration: Ferofort administer for cattle, sheep and goats, swine, dogs for prophylaxis and treatments of anemia.

Dosage: Ferofort should be administered by the intramuscular or subcutaneous route, single injection. The recommended dose rate are:

prophylaxis:

sow – 6 ml per animal before 2 weeks to partum;

suckling piglets – 1 ml per animal at 3 days after birth;

dogs – 2 ml per animal.

therapy:

cattle- 12 ml per 250 kg body weight;

calves - 4-8 ml per animal;

sheep and goats, dogs – 2-4 per animal.

Contraindications: individual hypersensitivity to drugs ingredients
