Fortilyt
Description: solution for injection/infusion of yellowish-orange color.
Composition: glucose – 30 mg, sorbitol – 20 mg, sodium acetate – 2,6 mg, sodium lactate – 2,2 mg, sodium chloride – 6 mg, potassium chloride – 0,4 mg, calcium chloride – 0,2 mg, magnesium chloride – 0,2 mg, vitamins В1, В2, В3, В5, В6, В12, L-arginine, L-lysine, L-methionine, glutamic acid, water for injection and other excipients – ad to 1 ml.
Pharmacological properties: Fortilyte is the complex drug for etiothropic, symptomatic, substitutive therapy of infections and non-infection diseases, correction and normalization of metabolic processes in animal’s organism.
Fortilyte has carbohydrates as energy sources in two forms – rapid metabolized (glucose) and retard metabolism (sorbitol). It’s provide energetic supplies while long time and prevents glucose blood level wavering and overloading of liver and pancreas metabolism.
Sodium acetate and sodium lactate has additive buffer properties and neutralize the excess of organic acids which accumulates during acidosis.
Cations of sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium are essential electrolytes for many physiological functions (water-electrolyte balance, muscular contraction, etc.).
Vitamins В1, В2, В3, В5, В6, В12 are co-factors of many enzymes extra- and intracellular metabolism.
Aminoacids are not only monomers of structural, regulator and enzymatic proteins but also regulators of vascular tonus (arginine) and ammonia acceptors (glutamic acid).
Administration: Fortilyte administer for cattle, sheep and goats, camels, horse, swine, dogs, cats as a rehydration, detoxication, adaptogen, anabolic drug, for normalization and correction of metabolic processes while diseases of different etiology, toxicosis, prophylaxis of ketosis, acidosis, etc.
Dosage: Fortilyte should be administered by the intravenous (slowly), intraperitoneal or subcutaneous route once or twice per day in next doses:
Cattle, horses, camels, sheep and goats, pigs – 50-100 ml per 100 kg of body weight,
Sheep and goats, pigs – 2,5-10 ml per animal;
Calves, foals, colts, lambs, kids, suckling piglets – 10-25 ml per 10 kg of body weight;
Dogs, cats – 3-5 per 1 kg of body weight.
Contraindications: individual hypersensitivity to drugs ingredients. Do not mix in one syringe with other drugs.
Withdraw periods: meat and milk production – 0 days.
Packing: 250 ml glass vials.
Storage: protect from light, 10-250С.
