Description: colorless solution for injection.
Composition: ketoprofen – 100 mg, excipients – ad to 1 ml.
Pharmacological properties: Ketoprofen is a propionic acid derivate from class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It has analgetic, anti-inflammatory and moderate antipyretic properties. Ketoprofen mechanism of action consists in high-selective inhibition COX-2 as key enzyme of inflammation mediators synthesis. In order to high selectivity of action ketoprofen doesn’t has side effects, which tends to other NSAIDs (ulcer of digestive tract, renal hemodynamic disorders, hemorrhagic effects, etc). After injection ketoprofen is penetrate into tissue.
Administration: Ketofort administer for cattle, sheep and goats, camels, horse, swine, dogs for treatment of acute and chronical diseases of locomotor apparatus (arthritis, laminitis, myositis, etc), pain syndrome (postoperational and posttraumatical), muscle cramps, symptomatical therapy of diseases with pain and fever.
Dosage: Ketofort should be administered by the intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous route, once per day during 1-3 days. The recommended dose rate is 1 ml/33 kg bodyweight as single injection, for horse - 1 ml/45 kg bodyweight by intravenous rate. Not recommended inject in one place more than 10 ml of drug.
Contraindications: individual hypersensitivity to drugs ingredients. Do not mix in one syringe with other drugs. Bo not administrate for animals with gastrointestinal ulcerous pathology.
Withdraw periods: beef – 5 days, porcine meat – 4 days, milk production – 0 days.
Packing: 100 ml amber glass vessels.
Storage: protect from light, 10-250С.
